Restaurant Review: Morelia Gourmet Paletas

A variety of colorful flavors to start with
Before heading to Miami, we watched a lot of Youtube Videos about Miami food and sights to see.  In one of them, possibly more, we saw Morelia Gourmet Paletas.  I was intrigued but didn't attempt to find it ahead of time.  I figured we would stumble upon various ice cream shops that would be equally interesting.
That being said, I'm so glad that we randomly found Morelia Gourmet Paletas.
It's basically an ice pop/popsicle style ice cream shop.  Except you get to create your own popsicle.
You start with your basic ice pop flavor which range from traditional strawberry to a variety of others like yogurt and berries, pineapple and mint, or cappuccino.  Some are filled like dulce de leche filled with dulce de leche and banana filled with nutella.
Dipping our paleta into Dark Chocolate
We decided to get one to share since we'd just eaten at Kush.  We got the beautiful and light mango.
Next, you have the option to dip your paleta into chocolate or marshmallow.  They have dark chocolate, milk chocolate, white chocolate, marshmallow (that later they'll roast for you) and I think one other kind of shell that I didn't pay much attention too sadly.  I was too excited by the dark chocolate, which was our choice of shell.
Next and last step is to choose what toppings you want on top.  They have traditional toppings with graham cracker crumbs, other candy and fruit to the slightly more exotic spicy sugar.
We chose to get coconut and keep it simple.

Our beautiful Paleta
It was so fun to get to watch them put on our chosen toppings.  It was even to watch them make everyone else's. The staff was helpful and cheerful as they created our flavors so it was definitely a fun experience.
The mango was refreshing and light while the dark chocolate had hardened into a lovely crispy shell.  It was definitely a great snack on the way to the Wynwood Walls and I definitely recommend trying them out!
